'Soba' is a five-layer Black Walnut and Pennsylvania Cherry bowl who comes with his own set of chopsticks. Generously sized at seven inches wide and five inches high, he boasts a wall thickness and curvature that would make Dr. Seuss jealous.
The chopsticks are Black Walnut sandwiching Spalted Maple and are also a very generous fourteen inches long. I had made them separately but they advised me that they belonged with Soba, so now they're a family.
Soba and his sticks are finished with food-grade pure Tung Oil and are perfectly fine for eating. He weighs in at two pounds and is looking for a suitable emperor to serve.
