Solid Black Walnut cutting board with Cherry borders crafted both to hang as a display and for vigorous use. The handles are bottom-recessed for ease of handling.
His cutting surface is 15-7/8" by 15-3/8" by 1-1/2" thick and weighs in at 7 pounds 7 ounces. The wood has been cut, dried, and finished by myself... the central piece is a 10" wide slab of Black Walnut, bordered by Pennsylvania Cherry, and bordered again with Black Walnut.
The hanging nub makes the full dimensions 15-7/8" x 17-1/2". Make sure your hook will fit through the 3/4" hole.
Wood is a living entity and wants to be treated well. He is finished with pure food-grade Tung Oil and will respond well to any natural oil you use to keep him fed. This board is designed to be a permanent treasure in your kitchen.
